Welcome to the Institute for Global Pandemic Planning (IGPP) Knowledge Hub, for everyone interested in prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery from pandemics. It provides interdisciplinary knowledge and learning across pandemics to support researchers and policy makers worldwide.

Preparedness

Response

Recovery

Prevention

Preparedness in the capability to manage an emergency. It is needed across multisectoral international, national and local organisations.

An effective response saves lives in a pandemic. Response is needed across sectors and at all levels – internationally, nationally, and locally.

Sustained efforts to recover from a pandemic are needed, with widespread consequences from its effects.

Measures can be taken to reduce causes of new infectious diseases and prevent outbreaks and epidemics from becoming pandemics.

What do we need know at the start of a pandemic?

Dr Nicole Robb describes how we find out about a new virus– at speed - including developing new diagnostic tests, as part of a webinar Warwick vs Pandemics here.
